Equipment

The BBA equipment team strives to provide our youth athletes with the safest, up-to-date equipment on the market.  We maintain a retention schedule to cycle out old equipment and monitor applicable changes in equipment safety standards as defined by organizations such as the Safety Equipment Institute (SEI), the National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment (NOSCAE), and USA Baseball/Softball.  We continuously monitor applicable equipment rule changes as defined by the National Federation of High School (NFHS) and Little League organizations.

All teams, regardless of division, are provided with approved pitch machines (7/8 baseball & softball only), tees (t-ball only), fielding masks (softball only), bats, balls, batting helmets, and catcher's gear-including the catcher's glove/mitt.

Participants must provide their own fielding glove/mitt (A protective athletic cup is highly recommended for boys in the catcher's position).  Participants may use their own batting helmet, bat, and catcher's gear so long as it meets BBA equipment standards.

Please note that the BBA's equipment standards may be more stringent than the equipment standards outlined within the intercity partnership rules.  ALL BBA athletes will be required to follow BBA equipment standards when participating in our program.

THE SAFETY OF OUR ATHLETES IS OUR TOP PRIORITY
